The art, the skill,
the strategy of design.
Design is a world in itself and if you’re looking for branding, advertising or any design related work, you probably have some questions. This FAQ was written to help clarify what the designers at Cayenne Creative can do for you.
Why do I need a professional design agency when I can get a logo online?
Opting to have your logo designed through an online source is tempting and we get the urge of a good deal. At the get-go, a quick and cheap logo can be hard to resist so here are some things to consider when you’re making your decision:
- Have all the visual and technological implication of colours, typefaces, formats and graphics been considered in the design?
- Will your logo format work properly across all devices?
- Does your logo tell a story that helps people instantly recognize your brand?
- Will your designer invest time to understand your vision and goals?
- Will the logo stand the test of time?
IMAGES HOLD THE POWER TO CONNECT
A professional design agency will account for all these considerations. They will partner with you to ensure that the end product is a strategically sound solution for all your communication and business needs.
What is the difference between a brand and a logo?
YOUR LOGO IS YOUR FACE, YOUR BRAND IS YOUR PERSONALITY
Your face is the first thing people see when you they meet you. People tend to remember faces but beyond your face – what else do they remember? They remember how you made them feel. Your brand makes people feel. Relate. Associate to something. Branding is the sum of all your business’ experiences; it communicates for you, tells your customers who you truly are and what you value. A logo is a powerful symbol. A visual reference. Often times, your logo is the first thing people remember when they think about your brand, but the feelings they have when they think about your brand go far beyond the visual reference of your logo.
A professional design agency will work with you to develop consumer perceptions that accurately reflect the personality of your brand. Because, at the end of the day, what truly matters is how your consumers perceive your brand.
What is the difference between a Registered Graphic Designer and a regular designer?
A registered Graphic Designer (RGD) will work with you to ensure all aspects of your communication goals are fully integrated into your concept, design and messaging. Your RGC will do the industry, market and product research required to ensure your brand/service/product is positioned correctly and competitively.
AN RGD IS LIKE HAVING A WIZARD IN YOUR BACK POCKET
We make magic happen, respond when you need us, we’re there when you’re on the hook to meet tight deadlines – because we work as your partners. Hand in hand with you and your business, becoming your valuable resource not only in design, but in all your marketing, branding and communication efforts.
I have a design in mind. Can you help make it happen?
As design thinkers, we drop your idea into our creative process; interpreting your target audience, external brand perception, core message and execution types. Ultimately, we’re testing for suitability and effectiveness in the marketplace. The result? A design sprung from your vision that is more than you had originally imagined.
Do I need a “mobile app”?
If you’ve done your research and your application has a unique use or function, is needed by your target audience and fits within your budget, then your investment in mobile application development will go a long way. It is another piece of branding collateral that you can use to entice people to do more research about your company. However, a mobile app is not a piece of branding collateral that everyone needs. If your application has no purpose, and you just want to make an app because other companies have one, then optimizing your website for mobile (if it isn’t already) is a better investment. This is a less expensive option, requiring less time, and will truly be more beneficial for your business than a mobile application.
Is print really dead?
Because this is a challenging question, we’ll focus on using print as branding collateral. We believe that using print materials like business cards, brochures, and teasers are important touch points for your brand. They are tangible pieces that let potential clients or investors know who you are, what you do, and how you can be contacted. They are the pieces that spark conversations; an extension of yourself and your brand, key in building and maintaining client/investor relationships. This type of print collateral will never truly become “dead,” at least not anytime soon.
Do you do decals?
We do all sorts of promotional items like car wraps, roll-up displays, banners, fabric walls, t-shirts, hats, pens, USB sticks, and more. We have 12+ years of trusted supplier relationships so we’re well prepared to do the legwork for you. If you can imagine it, we can brand it!
